Globant values individual privacy and we want to give our users the opportunity to know what information we collect about them and how it is treated by us.
This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) explains:
- Which information we collect.
- How we use that information.
- Where is such information stored and which are your access rights.
Capitalized terms not otherwise defined in this Policy shall have the meaning ascribed to such terms in the Terms and Conditions (https://os.starmeup.com/en/terms-of-use/). We recommend you to read this Policy together with our Terms and Conditions in order to better understand the rules governing the use of our Services.
If you are using the Services in a workplace or an educational institution, or through a device or account issued to you by your employer, your educational institution or another organization (your “Organization”), that Organization likely has its own policies regarding storage, access, modification, deletion, and retention of information you submit or provide through the Services.
This means that your Organization has the right to control and administer your account and access and process any data you submit or provide through the Services. Please contact your Organization with any privacy inquiries regarding policies, including any service agreement with Globant, it has in place regarding your use of the Services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update the Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” date above and post the new Privacy Policy.

1. Information collected when you use our Services.
A. Information collected automatically.
When navigating our websites and accessing or using our Services, Globant will collect and store the Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer and the Internet address of the site from which you linked directly to access the Services.
When navigating our websites and accessing or using our Services, Globant will collect and store Cookies. “Cookies” are text files placed in your computer’s browser to store certain preferences and information, which may enhance your browsing experience on Globant´s websites. Cookies may be used to personalize your website experience, such as recognizing you by name when you return. Globant does not use Cookies to track or collect personal identification information from website users. If you desire, instructions for your browser will allow you to make certain settings on your computer to warn you before a Cookie is stored, block all Cookies or erase Cookies from your hard drive,
B. Information collected when setting-up your account.
You will need an account to use and access our Services. You may create your own account, or your account may be assigned to you by an administrator, such as your employer or educational institution.
If you are creating your own account, information is collected when you volunteer to identify yourself, register to our Services and provide requested information.
If your account is being assigned to you by an administrator, such administrator (i.e. your employer or the educational institution you belong to) will deliver to us certain personally identifiable information about yourself in order to create your account, such as your first name, last name, address, e-mail address, and related information.
C. Widget data.
Other websites may integrate Globant widgets. When you visit a site with a Globant widget or a widget related to any of our Products embedded, we may receive certain information, including information about the web page you visited. Globant and the widget can recognize you when you interact with a widget.
D. Links data.
We may keep track of how you interact with links across our Services, including our email notifications, third-party services, and client applications, by redirecting clicks or through other means. We do this to help improve our Services and to be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked on.
E. Data from you mobile device.
We may provide features that rely on the use of additional information on your mobile device or require access to certain services on your mobile device that will enhance your experience with our Products but are not required to use the Services. For example, you might want to upload photos in connection with the use of our Services, like adding a photo to a star you are sending in the case of StarMeUp, or you may want to upload your location while using BeThere. Before we access this information or these features of your mobile device, we will ask for your permission. If you provide such permission, we will collect the information for the specific purposes explained at the time we ask for your permission.
F. Content.
Through use of our Services you may or your colleagues may create Content that directly provides information about you to Globant, including, for example: (i) all Content that you create, share or post through the Services, or that are provided on your behalf, including information in or about the Content you provide, such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created; (ii) information other people provide about you when using the Services and creating Content, including when they send a message to you or upload information about you, and (iii) all communications with other users of the Services.
When you share Content you should think carefully about what you are making public. Our default is almost always to make the Content you provide through the Services public for as long as you do not delete it, but we may give you settings or features to make the information more private. If you see no option to make the information to share while using the Services private then you should assume that such information and content will be publicly available..
2. How we use information.
Globant uses the information collected through our Services to (i) identify Users; (ii) allow Users to find contacts through the Services; (iii) send Users notifications regarding important news involving the Services, like updates or modifications to the Terms of Use; and (iv) notify Users about events related to the Services themselves, such as having received a “star” in the case of StarMeUp.
If you contact us regarding identity theft or some other form of unauthorized use of the Services, Globant may disclose pertinent information to law enforcement agencies and other third parties with responsibility and authority.
At all times, however, Globant reserves the right to disclose information where required by law or to comply with valid legal process (such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order), to protect Globant’s rights or property, including without limitation in the event of a transfer of control of Globant or substantially all of its assets, or during emergencies when safety is at risk.
If you are using the Services as part of an Organization, you should know that your Organization has unlimited access to your information in our servers and to the Contents that you create when using the Services.
3. Storage and access rights.
A. Storage of the Information.
All of the information collected by Globant through the Services is stored on secured servers, to protect against unauthorized use and access. Our servers are located in the United States of America and Ireland.
Globant may share your information with other companies in the Globant group that are located in countries different than your home country in order to carry out the activities specified in this Privacy Policy.
Irrespective of which country you live in, you authorize us to transfer, store, and use your information in the United States, Ireland, and any other country where we operate. In some of these countries, the privacy and data protection laws and rules regarding when government authorities may access data may vary from those in the country where you live.
If you are a European resident, your information will be stored in the servers located in Ireland.
B. Your access rights.
